President: Michelle Alicea
Since 1948, Soroptimist International of Milwaukee has been dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls while building a stronger, more compassionate community. We meet on the second Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Grace Center, 250 E. Juneau Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
Every meeting is an opportunity to connect, grow, and make a difference. We combine meaningful service, inspiring guest speakers, engaging programs, and fellowship in a welcoming environment where every woman is valued. Whether you are a longtime volunteer or simply exploring ways to give back, we invite you to join us and experience the spirit of Soroptimist.
Our members are passionate about empowering women and girls through education, mentorship, leadership, and economic opportunity. We proudly collaborate with organizations including Sojourner Family Peace Center, The Cathedral Center Women’s Shelter, HeartLove Place, BECI, and Prisoner’s Pardon Advocacy, expanding opportunities for women experiencing barriers to education, employment, safety, and successful reentry. Together, we strive to create brighter futures and lasting change throughout Milwaukee through scholarships, awards, service projects, mentoring, advocacy, and hands-on volunteerism.
What makes Soroptimist Milwaukee truly special is our belief that serving others should also bring joy. We know that life is filled with responsibilities, and many women have had few opportunities to simply enjoy friendship, laughter, and belonging. Some may feel they missed those experiences earlier in life, while others are ready to rediscover their inner girl. Here, we create space for both.
Our club is more than a place to volunteer—it is a sisterhood where women encourage one another, celebrate life’s milestones, learn together, and create lasting friendships. We intentionally make our meetings and activities engaging because we believe that women who laugh together, grow together. When our members are inspired and connected, they bring even greater energy and compassion to the work we do in our community.
We work hard. We serve with purpose. We lead with compassion. And yes—we believe it’s okay to have fun along the way.
Throughout the year, members enjoy a variety of service projects, leadership opportunities, fundraising events, social gatherings, and community activities that strengthen our friendships while expanding our impact. Together, we are creating positive change—one project, one woman, and one girl at a time.
At Soroptimist Milwaukee, we believe that when women experience joy, friendship, and purpose together, they become stronger leaders, more confident advocates, and a powerful force for positive change.
Whether you’re looking to make a difference, develop lifelong friendships, grow as a leader, or simply become part of something bigger than yourself, you’ll find a warm welcome at Soroptimist International of Milwaukee.
Come serve with us. Grow with us. Laugh with us. Together, let’s make Milwaukee an even better place for women and girls.
Chartering Anniversary: July 14, 1948.
