Our SI of Fremont Club was chartered on February 8, 1941, and has a range of 30-40 members. We host monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month from September to June and have a variety of social, service, and fundraising activities throughout the year. We’re a dedicated organization committed to improving the lives of women and girls while making a meaningful, lasting impact throughout the community. With a strong spirit of service, collaboration, and leadership, our organization consistently meets local needs with compassion and action.

Events & Scholarships:
Dream It, Be It program provides young girls with career support and guidance within the community. Our club members, along with community advisors, help them learn about career opportunities, set and achieve goals, overcome obstacles to success, and move forward after setbacks or failures.
TRAP Through the Teen Relationship Abuse Prevention (TRAP), our organization is dedicated to equipping middle and high school students with the knowledge and skills needed to build safe, equal, and healthy relationships. Through age-appropriate education, resources, and outreach, TRAP raises awareness about the warning signs of teen dating abuse while promoting respect, communication, and personal boundaries.
Live Your Dream Award supports women who are the primary financial providers for their families by providing the resources they need to further their education, enhance their skills, and improve their employment opportunities.
The Virginia Wagner Award is a scholarship for women in the Midwest pursuing higher education.
High School Scholarships allow us to invest in the future of young girls by awarding scholarships to graduating high school senior girls in Sandusky County, along with a scholarship designated for a senior pursuing a technical education.
In Our Community:
Soroptimist members have been actively working with the Girls with Goals group at the local Elementary Schools in Fremont. This program helps young girls develop self-motivation, personal responsibility, leadership, and teamwork—building confidence and foundational life skills that will benefit them for years to come. Over the years, Soroptimist of Fremont has supported a wide variety of impactful initiatives and organizations. Our efforts include supporting local farmers’ markets, the Hayes Center, Relay for Life, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army, Share and Care (Fremont Salvation Army Unit), domestic violence awareness and support initiatives, the Sandusky County Children’s Foster Parents Christmas Party, Heartbeat, Community Christmas, the Liberty Center homeless shelter, and Women’s Build projects. Each of these efforts reflects our deep commitment to strengthening families, supporting vulnerable populations, and enhancing the quality of life in Fremont and Sandusky County.
Collaboration is at the heart of Soroptimist of Fremont’s impact. We proudly partner with fellow service groups, including Kiwanis, Rotary, Exchange, and the Lions Club, because together we can make a bigger difference. One of the most meaningful examples of this partnership is participation in JEFF Night (Joint Effort for Fellowship and Fun), where our organizations come together annually to raise funds for a local cause.
